CONTACT US

Join Alice and Kallie for a collaborative New Years event at Saint Hilda’s Church in Crofton Park. An afternoon of Yin yoga and sound medicine to leave you feeling rejuvenated and replenished, this will be the perfect antidote following the busy festive period, and a great way to start the New Year.

The afternoon will start with a 60 minute Yin yoga session lead by Alice. You will be guided through a chakra themed practice, working with each chakra by stimulating the correlating parts of the body, and the meridian lines associated with each one. Yin is a gentle form of yoga that teaches us to go slow and tune in. In Yin the postures are held for 5 minutes, or longer, using props to help support the body in relaxation. By holding the postures for an extended period, yin targets the facia (the inter-web of connective tissue in the body that encapsulates and supports every muscle and organ) and enables the release of physical tension on a much deeper level. Circulation to the joints is also increased, and energy channels (Nadis/meridians) are stimulated and unblocked. Aside from the physical and energetic benefits yin provides the perfect gateway into meditation by encouraging you to stay still and aware of the sensations that arise in the body moment by moment.

Once you are settled in Savasana you will experience Kallie – Gayatri Yogin’s uniquely curated sound medicine for the soul through the healing vibrations of gong and Tibetan bowls. The sound bath will wash over you and induce a deep state of relaxation, a quietening of the mind – that liminal dream space between wakefulness and sleep when rejuvenation, renewal and illumination takes place – the place where the boundaries between the self and universe dissolve.

The symphonic and mercury gongs will invite you to connect grace and compassion with reflection, expression and inspiration – releasing illusions of the ego or the worldly self. 7 chakra sound bowls will help you tune into your subtle energy body and release dormant energies, and encourage the flow of vital life force.
You can expect to feel leave feeling balanced, restored and rested.

All the equipment will be provided and there will be refreshments after the event.
