Join Alice for a blissful 2 hours as you take a step back from the Christmas hustle and melt into a deeply restorative practice of yin yoga, yoga nidra and journaling.
Christmas is a joyous time of year where we’re invited to celebrate, rejoice and be merry. It also falls in the deepest, darkest, depths of winter, so intuitively we may feel the urge to withdraw and hibernate. The conflict between our desire to celebrate and socialise, and our biological pull towards rest, can lead to a blurring of boundaries, a loss of authenticity and for some of us – burnout.
This workshop will not only offer you the opportunity to deeply unwind and replenish, but also time to reflect on what you truly need this winter in order to sustain your energy. It will provide you with a safe container to practice the yogic principle of Svadhyaya, or self study, and arm you with practical tips on how to stay well physically, mentally and emotionally as we navigate the festive season.
Expect gentle somatic movement and yin postures to tease out areas of tension, yoga nidra to lull you into a deep state of relaxation, and journaling prompts to help you to reflect on how you feel and what you really need in order to support yourself.
** All props are provided, however please bring a journal / notepad and pen.
