In this two hour workshop I will share with you some ideas on how you can feel stronger and more capable in your yoga practice by increasing your tolerance to load. We shall explore how body weight exercises, such as those found in yoga, can be approached and adapted in order to bias certain areas of the body. The workshop will be highly practical and will bring you a greater sense of awareness and understanding of how to activate specific muscle groups in specific yoga poses, and why this may be beneficial. The workshop will follow the principles of progressive loading in order for you to build tolerance in a way that is coherent and manageable. The idea is that you will be able to apply what you learn, and most importantly feel, to your everyday asana practice.
