Rest & Recharge – 3 night yoga retreat in Kent / Sussex border.

Friday 3rd October – Monday 7th October.

Escape with us to the country side for a long weekend of healing and nourishment. Just 60 minutes from London on the Kent / Sussex border you’ll be surrounded by outstanding natural beauty, calm and serenity. The weekend will be a blissful opportunity for you to disconnect from the city and reconnect to yourself, with plenty of time to rest and recharge the mind, body and soul.

Our Home

The Merrieweathers is a stunning converted stables and coach house. It is in an idyllic setting, surrounded by fields and woodlands situated on the edge of the historic charming village, Mayfield. You’ll have access to an outdoor heated swimming pool, a fishing lake with a rowing boat, outdoor table tennis and draughts and we’ll also have direct access to miles of public footpaths and woodland walks.

Inside we have plenty of space with lots of areas to get cosy and read. We have a huge dining table where we can all join for meal times. There is even a cinema size projector screen for those who wish to watch a movie one evening. Most of the rooms have private ensuite bathroom facilities and we have an option for both private and shared accommodation. Rooms start from as little as £345. You can secure your place by making a £100 deposit, we’re also happy to discuss payment plans to spread out the costs. Please get in touch for all room and price options.

The Yoga

There will be a yoga class every morning to awaken and refresh the body, and in the evening to calm and soothe in preparation for a good nights sleep. All sessions will be open to all abilities with lots of options along the way. We’ll explore both the physical and subtle practices of yoga including asana (movement), pranayama (breathing), yoga nidra (relaxation), and meditation. You’ll also be treated to a workshop on the Sunday where we’ll explore the 5 prana vayus or winds of energy. You’ll learn how to nourish each vayu and the relevance of doing so. In this workshop we’ll explore movement, chanting, mudra, meditation, and relaxation. 1-2-1 yoga lessons and yoga therapy can be arranged with Alice over the weekend for an additional cost.

The Food

All meals will be loving prepared by Charlotte using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. All meals will be plant based and well thought out and planned with nutrition and satisfaction in mind. We start the day with a balanced brunch including firm favourites like overnight oats, fresh fruit, oven roast mushrooms and rye bread and nut butters. Lunch will be a light afternoon meal including fresh salads and soups. Dinner will be an opportunity for us all to sit together and reflect on the day over a delicious home cooked meal, dessert will be refined sugar free and made with natural ingredients.

Travel

Transport links are easily accessible with the nearest mainline railway station at Wadhurst (6.5 miles, Charing Cross one hour) together with the A22 and A26 providing fast connections to the M25 link to central London, Gatwick (30 miles) and Heathrow (65 miles).

If travelling by train we can arrange a taxi pick up service from the station. For those travelling by car who are willing to share a ride please let us know so we can arrange amongst the other guests.

20:00 – Closing Ceremony – Cacao bliss balls, yoga nidra, meditation and breathwork.

11:00am – Departure

Whilst all of the above is included in the price, all activities are optional. We appreciate this is your precious time out and we respect that some times you might want a lie and / or go to bed early.
