Chair Yoga

Wednesdays, 11:00-12:00

This donation based class is open to all, especially the elderly or those who have limited range of movement, who wish come and enjoy the benefits that yoga has to offer. It's also a great way to meet people in the local community! After the yoga session you're welcome to stick around for tea, biscuits and chats from 12:00-12:25pm as a way of getting to know each other and share our experiences.

What to expect:

- Guided Meditation. Learning to sit and focus on the breath and the bodily sensations as a way of de-cluttering the mind and finding inner peace and quiet.
- Breathing techniques. Learning to control the breath in order to calm the nervous system, increasing lung capacity and overall health.
- Intention setting / gratitude practice. Setting of intentions and gratitude each week to empower and enforce positive mental attitude.
- Chair based yoga postures and some standing postures where possible. Traditional yoga postures adapted to be done on a chair. We'll look at moving the whole body gently and mindfully to ease out muscular tension and build flexibility..

Gentle Flow

Wednesdays, 18:15-19:15

During this one-hour gentle practice you'll flow through standing and seated postures, with a focus on breath & alignment. The class is open to all levels, beginners are particularly welcome. All you need to bring with you is an open heart...and a mat if you have one. (Contact Alice if you don't as there are spare mats at the church.)

The room will be softly lit with fairy lights and candles, accompanied by relaxing background music, yoga bricks, straps & lavender eye pillows are provided. This will be a great class to gently unwind from the day and the perfect place to start your yoga journey.

Dynamic Flow

Wednesdays, 19:30-20:30
Saint Hilda's Church, SE4

During this one-hour energetic practice you'll flow through sun salutations, standing and seated postures, with a focus on breath & alignment. The class is open to those who wish to develop their practice, some previous yoga experience would be beneficial although not necessary (if you are a beginner please get in touch).

The room will be softly lit with fairy lights and candles, accompanied by relaxing background music, yoga bricks, straps & lavender eye pillows are provided. Please bring your own mat if you have one, although there are some spare at the church. This will be a great class to unwind from the day and also the perfect place to develop your personal practice.

£5 - single class student / unemployed
£45 - 5 class pass (valid 8 weeks)
£85 - 10 class pass (valid 16 weeks)

Payment can be made either on the night or via bank transfer.
